This Fourth of July is no ordinary Independence Day. It marks 250 years since the founding of the United States, and Miami-Dade County has a full slate of events to honor the occasion. From historic document exhibitions to waterfront fireworks, here's how our community is celebrating.
Morning & Early Afternoon 7/4/2026
Revive the Vision: Celebrating Julia Tuttle
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd
An immersive cultural experience honoring Miami's founder, Julia Tuttle, through a 3D visual installation. The event also features a Youth Urban Zone, Zumba fitness, live emerging artists on the Motivational Edge Stage, and a semi-permanent art installation by Cracking Art.
Freedom Plane National Tour
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | HistoryMiami Museum, 101 W Flagler St
One of only eight cities in the nation to host this traveling exhibition from the National Archives, Miami's HistoryMiami Museum is displaying rare founding-era documents including an engraving of the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Paris, and early drafts of the Constitution. Free and open to the public.
4th of July – An American Community Celebration
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | The Women's Club of Coconut Grove, 2985 S. Bayshore Drive, Coconut Grove
A community gathering organized by We The People of 305, the Women's Club of Coconut Grove, and Macedonia Baptist Missionary Church to honor the 250th anniversary of Independence Day. The program includes readings from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, reflections on freedom, patriotic singing, and refreshments. A perfect morning event before the day's bigger festivities.
Deering Estate's 4th of July Celebration
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Deering Estate, 16701 SW 72nd Ave, Palmetto Bay | $8 admission
A relaxed Independence Day at one of Miami-Dade's most beautiful heritage parks. Pack a picnic and spend the day under Royal Palm trees along Biscayne Bay. A guided museum tour is offered at 11:30 AM. Active duty military and their families get in free as part of the Blue Star Museums program.

250 United: America's 250th Celebration at Bayfront Park

Miami Beach Fourth of July Celebrations
3:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Ocean Drive & Altos Del Mar Park, North Beach
Music and festivities light up both South Beach and North Beach as Miami Beach celebrates Independence Day along the shoreline.
July 4th Celebration at Tropical Park
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St
A free family event featuring live music, food, activities, and a spectacular fireworks display — one of the county's signature July 4th gatherings.
Independence Day Celebration by the Bay
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | FIU Biscayne Bay Campus, 3000 NE 151st St, North Miami
A community celebration featuring diverse entertainment and a fireworks display over the bay, welcoming families, friends, and neighbors.
Hotel Colonnade 250: A Celebration of History, Hospitality & Community
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables, 180 Aragon Ave
An immersive evening inside one of Coral Gables' most iconic landmarks, featuring historical storytelling, architectural highlights, live music inspired by American eras, and culinary stations celebrating Miami-Dade's diverse flavors.
Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration at the Biltmore
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables
The City of Coral Gables and the Biltmore Hotel host their annual fireworks extravaganza on the grounds of this historic landmark. This year's celebration adds a special patriotic drone show in honor of America's 250th anniversary, with choreographed imagery featuring national symbols alongside Coral Gables icons like the Biltmore, Venetian Pool, and City Hall. The Greater Miami Symphonic Band performs at 7 PM, followed by the drone and fireworks show at 9 PM. Free to attend — limited parking available, with trolley shuttles from City Hall.
Town of Miami Lakes Independence Day Celebration
6:30 PM – 9:30 PM | Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave, Miami Lakes
A family-friendly community celebration with live music, patriotic tributes, cultural showcases, and fireworks. This year's event places special emphasis on honoring the 250th anniversary and Miami-Dade's diverse heritage.
4th of July Celebration & Fireworks Show at Regatta Grove
12:00 PM – late | Regatta Grove, 3415 Pan American Drive, Coconut Grove
Celebrate the 250th from the waterfront at Regatta Grove in Coconut Grove. Doors open at noon for a full day of patriotic vibes, food, and fireworks over the water. Dress code is Coastal Chic; families and leashed dogs welcome before sundown; 21+ after dark. Table reservations available at RegattaGrove.com.
City of Doral's Independence Day Celebration
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Doral Central Park, 3005 NW 92nd Ave, Doral
Doral's big annual celebration marks America's 250th with live entertainment, interactive games, food vendors, and a 25-minute fireworks finale. New this year: an on-site grilling experience starting at 2 PM for families who want to set up early. Free off-site parking with trolley service available.
City of Hialeah Independence Day Celebration
4:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Milander Park, Hialeah
A multiple award-winning event from the Florida Festivals & Events Association, drawing over 20,000 attendees from across South Florida. Hialeah's celebration features local food trucks, live entertainment, and what organizers call the best 30-minute fireworks and laser display in South Florida. Come early to grab a good spot.
