Dr. Victor Vazquez Elected to Miami Springs Council

The Miami-Dade Democratic Executive Committee congratulates Dr. Victor Vazquez on his election to the Miami Springs Council in the 2023 elections held on April 4.

“The Miami-Dade Democratic Party congratulates Dr. Victor Vazquez on his hard fought win. We were proud to endorse him and happy to have been a part of his victory. We look forward to seeing Dr. Vazquez lead his city forward,” said Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chair Robert Dempster.

Dr. Victor Vazquez was once again elected to the Miami Springs City Council. Dr. Vazquez is a longtime Miami Springs resident, and has served his community as a City Councilman, supporting organizations like Aspira Inc. of Florida, the Puerto Rican Leadership Council of South Florida, the American Legion Post 32, Disabled American Veterans Organization, and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Miami Springs.

Dr. Vazquez’s priorities include keeping property taxes low, maintaining green areas, ensuring that Miami Springs benefits from the Hotel Bed Tax, implementing recommendations of the Business & Economic Development Task Force to jump-start entrepreneurship, workforce development, and economic diversification. He advocates keeping neighborhoods peaceful, safe and secure by improving training for law enforcement, improving the efficiency of traffic and code enforcement, and restoring Community Councils.

Of the 8,973 registered voters in Miami Springs, 1880 cast their ballots, representing a 21% turnout.
