American Legion Post 98 will hold its 2026 Candidate Forum on Wednesday, September 9, at the post's home at 303 Alhambra Circle in Coral Gables, giving voters a chance to hear directly from candidates running in this year's elections.
The forum will unfold in three segments organized by level of government. Local and county candidates will take the floor from 5:00 to 5:40 p.m., followed by state-level candidates from 5:40 to 7:40 p.m. The evening will close with national and federal candidates from 7:40 to 8:00 p.m.
The structured format is designed to give attendees a comprehensive look at the races on their ballots in one sitting, from city hall to Washington, D.C. Candidate forums like this one have long served as a cornerstone of civic engagement in South Florida communities, offering residents a rare opportunity to ask questions and evaluate candidates in person ahead of Election Day.
