In addition to the state and county amendments / referendums that voters will have on their ballot, residents of the city of Miami will have some important decisions to make regarding the future power of the mayor, in addition to how public green space is valued.

For the referendum on strong mayor, our recommendation is NO. The referendum gives too much power to an elected official while taking away the professional services now done by  a vetted qualified employee.

For the referendum on development at Melreese Park, our recommendation is also No. Another bad stadium deal with unknown costs at the expense of our green space and increase traffic, ultimately affecting the city’s revenue

We do not have an opinion on the administrative building being developed.
