Back in 2006, Republicans held a hefty advantage in Florida in voting by mail. But in 2020, Democrats had a clear lead in the use of vote by mail. Now that vote by mail no longer works in their favor, many Republicans want to eliminate existing enrollments!

On Tuesday, February 16, The Ethics & Elections Committee, advanced legislation, SB 90, that if enacted would purge existing Vote By Mail enrollments and force every Florida voter to reapply after each general election.

The immediate result? Voting systems throughout the state of Florida will be thrown into chaos. And then, not surprisingly, DeSantis and Rubio will easily win re-election in 2022.

The Miami-Dade Democratic Party voted to oppose House Bill 1 / Senate Bill 484 and denounce the legislators who support these unconstitutional filings. These bills were filed in January, disguised as a reaction to the Capitol insurrection. In reality, the legislation had been drafted and press advised months in advance, in an attempt to discourage grassroots protesting.

The Miami-Dade Democratic Party voted to censure Miami Beach Commissioner Ricky Arriola, currently registered as a Democrat. Over the past year, Arriola amplified unproven COVID-19 treatments, pushed herd immunity, advocated for jailing Dr. Fauci, and compared the treasonous Capitol insurrection to the Black Lives Matter human rights movement.

On Tuesday, February 2nd, a story in the Palm Beach Post laid out a startling revelation about the priorities of leaders in our state Senate. After more than 3 million Floridians have filed more than 6 million unemployment claims, Democratic state senators and state representatives have filed 6 different bills that attempt to address the many shortcomings of the Florida unemployment system.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a day for reflection. A day for service to our community. And an opportunity to remember with our family and friends, the legacy of a man who taught us how to use our words and peaceful actions to stand for justice, and bring lasting change to a nation in need of providing greater equality for its citizens.

Ron DeSantis has failed us on COVID-19. His administration has spread misinformation about the epidemic and prevented local governments from taking steps to protect the people they serve. Now he appears to be cracking down on Rebekah Jones, one of his most outspoken critics.

Jones ran Florida's COVID-19 dashboard until May 2020, when she was fired for "insubordination." Jones says that she was fired because she refused orders to manipulate data. In December her home was raided by state agents. This weekend a warrant was issued for her arrest, although Jones has not been told what she's being charged with.

Ron DeSantis and his lackeys have lied to us about COVID-19, and repeatedly downplayed the severity of the epidemic, all to cover up for the failure of his administration and his hero, Donald Trump, to keep us safe.
