LOOK UP WHERE TO VOTE ON ELECTION DAY

Municipal and/or special elections will be held on November 4 in Miami Beach, the City of Miami, Hialeah, Homestead, and Surfside. The deadline to register to vote is October 6, and to request a vote-by-mail ballot is October 23.

The Miami-Dade Democratic Party has endorsed three Democratic candidates in Miami Beach, all running without Democratic opponents: Kristen Rosen Gonzalez (candidate for Mayor), Laura Dominguez (candidate for Commissioner, Group II), and Alex Fernandez (candidate for Commissioner, Group III).

CITY OF MIAMI

The Miami General Municipal Election, at which voters will select a Mayor, District 3 Commissioner, and District 5 Commissioner, as well as decide on several ballot measures, will be held on Tuesday, November 4

The following Democrats have qualified to appear on the ballot:

Mayor: Elijah John Bowdre, Michael Hepburn, Eileen Higgins, Ken Russell

Commissioner District 3: Oscar Elio Alejandro, Robert Franklin (Rob) Piper III

Commissioner District 5: Christine King

Charter amendment recommendations: “Yes” on Referendums #1 (Charter Review Commission), #3 (Citizens’ Redistricting Committee), and #4 (Term Limits).

Important dates:

  • Vote-by-mail requests are due no later than October 23, 2025
  • If needed, a run-off election will be held December 9

MIAMI BEACH

The Miami Beach General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 4, when voters will select a Mayor, Group I Commissioner, Group II Commissioner, and Group III Commissioner.

DEC-endorsed candidates, all running without Democratic opponents:

Commissioner, Group III: Alex Fernandez

The Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party currently prohibit the DEC from making an endorsement in the Group I race.

Daniel Ciraldo, Brian Ehrlich, Monica Matteo-Salinas

HIALEAH

The Hialeah Primary and Special Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 4, with candidates vying for election as Mayor, Councilmember Group III, Councilmember Group IV, Councilmember Group VI, and Councilmember Group VII.

No Democratic candidates qualified to run for any seat.

HOMESTEAD

The Homestead General and Special Elections, at which voters will select candidates for Council Seats #1 and #5 and vote on a bond referendum and two charter amendments, will be held on Tuesday, November 4. There will be no vote for Seat #4, as Incumbent Jenifer Bailey was elected without opposition.
